Over time or in transit the lid can move. This is not a defect and this can be easily adjusted. It is easy to realign the lid by following the instructions provided by Giannini directly.
The lid can be easily fixed by using a small screwdriver or a long object (such as a pen). Slightly press on the lid following the sequence below.
